WOW tihis is a great way to really show your travels. I hope to travel from the US to Europe next year. I just hope my internet business can keep up with the Euro to dollar exchange rate.

Kirsty which plugin are you using - there seem to be few out there but I like how this can zoom from the whole world level to local!

    Aloha!

I am amazed at what you are doing! I want to learn how to do this too. My friend told me about you and I am truly inspired.

If you are ever inclined to want to come to Hawaii, please look me up on facebook.

    Hi Kirsty,

I am enjoying your blog and like it that you dont seem too “worthy”, youre enjoying your travels and having a good time!

I am going next year to cycle up south america and central america, I would appreciate knowing how you are mapping your travels? I know my freinds will be worried if they don’t know where I am!

Hi Kirsty - we have just stumbled on your travel blog, and love it! We are currently in the middle of planning our own RTW, and will likely be stalking you for the next 9 months, keeping up with your adventures. One question I had about this map above…it seems as though you are criss-crossing the globe quite a bit…far be it from me to say this is a bad idea, but it must cost a lot more no? Isn’t it much more financially efficient to keep moving in sort of the same direction?

    Happy Travels!

    Hey guys,

Yep, it makes no sense whatsoever to criss-cross the globe the way I have been. Keep in mind that I’ve been at this for 2.5 years and also that I’ve been following a disaster relief organisation around the world. That’s the major issue… first Bangladesh, then Haiti, then Indonesia, then Haiti again so that accounts for most of the silly route.

If I wasn’t doing the disaster stuff I would most likely have done a lot more overland travelling.

    Hope this clarifies!

Well, thank goodness for disasters, otherwise it sounds like you would be very bored… :)
