Bear in mind that signing up for the club will make you feel you need to get your moneys worth – so you are less likely to change registrars when sensibly you should.

I’ve never had a problem finding GoDaddy coupon codes when needed and I register/renew monthly like I’m sure you do.

I’m know you can find current codes on a thread in a webmaster forum if what you find on Google expired. Someone always throws in custom coupon codes there to make affiliate sales if nothing else.

Actually, that reminds me that I need to find out how to get custom affiliate coupon code words myself so I can tell people about it.

I have been using the godaddy coupon code of emma30 for new, renewals and tdnam auctions of dotcoms – takes them to $7.69 inc the fee. I have over 60 domains and they havent called yet – but maybe because that is the ph number is my NZ mobile which has been turned off for 2 years LOL

I pay $9.99 to renew my .com domains with idotz.net, it is surprising how expensive it can be when you have 50 or so domains!

My issue is with .co.uk domains – they can be up to £9.99 a year to renew, I really need to find a new domain registrar but the whole process of moving domains seems like hard work.

Perhaps this is how the registrars keep you in!

You may be able to cancel your ‘Discount Domain Club’ or have you already used it ????

If you do a Google search for ‘cheap domains’ the first Sponsored Link is offering $6.99 godaddy domains (plus ICANN fee)…just click the link and then log into your account as usual.

There are lots of promotions, you should never pay full rate for renewals either, I always find a coupon.

I agree with 46and47 – I currently have 87 domains registered at GoDaddy and have renewed a couple of .com’s this week for $7.49. That discount is also available when you use the GoDaddy (tdnam) auctions.

I got the same pitch a couple weeks ago when I had a problem paying for a name I won at auction and had to call them – I declined, since I flip a lot of domains, I usually don’t have a need to re-reg any of them.

I do give them props – they answer the phone quickly and I’m not having to try to understand someone from Bangalore

I wouldn’t be surprised if they stopped releasing coupon codes just to promote this Discount Domain Club. It doesn’t really make sense for them to be offering both. Then again I have heard that GoDaddy does make some shady decisions.

Ah crap! Where was that advice before I joined! I have looked for coupon codes in the past with no luck when I’m ready to register but for people who don’t mind waiting around for them, that’s good advice. Where do you find them? Just do a Google search and hope it hasn’t expired?

I would look for GoDaddy coupon codes before joining the Discount Domain Club. I use coupon codes for $7.49 .com domains, 10% off orders, etc. It doesn’t cost anything to use them and, depending on your domain portfolio, you might save more money by not paying a yearly fee.
