I don't think the rice terrace is peaceful but that might have something to do with my fright of heights ;). Beautiful pictures indeed.

Those pictures are amazing. Those places look beautiful and so impressive. This Bangladesh fog gives the atmosphere of something incredible and magical. The same thing with a photo of Noosa River. I love fog pictures and photos so, that is something making me a little bit cloud-walking. Also the great picture of China Rice Terraces. Sometimes you can watch of those steep slopes for hours thinking how is this possible? I wonder if the terraces are sometimes falling down the hill. I hope not ;)

I definitely agree with you on that one, the "must sees" will always be there , but you can never catch another one of life’s great moments. Those places you list really do seem beautiful, and wow you are living on a farm in Nicaragua! I can only imagine what it looks like! The Chinese rice terraces look really nice, they almost have this antiquated look to them. There are so many beautiful places in this world its amazing! There is amazing beauty in South America, and the islands in the Caribbean , heck there is beauty almost everywhere in the world!

It sounds like you have been to some pretty amazing places. Hopefully once I get my website income in gear I can travel the world and experience things like this. Until then I am truly jealous.

That place in China looks beautiful. Which province is it in? I'm heading to China this year and maybe I can give it a try.

In Sri Lanka, they have an ancient irrigation system with thousands of 'tanks' or reservoirs ranging from tiny to huge, all over the dryer parts of the country. Many of these are wonder places to have a (much needed) cooling dip and watch local life unfold - they are real community places where people wash themselves and their clothes, chat, meet and flirt!

I remember an afternoon spent at one particular tank which was particularly memorable - a beautiful kingfisher was diving up and down to the water, an eagle was soaring overhead, children were playing in the distance and we were bobbing up and down in the water, with only our heads exposed putting the world to rights...
