Friends and festivals and events are things that will shape my long term plans but who knows if I'll make it to where I say I will. Health, safety and security and visas are things that I should pay way more attention too but being the impractical person that I am, I don't really. For instance some places in Spain are ideal but offers little in the way socially because they are geared to retired or families. Pretty much any big city would do, but I particularly feel comfortable in Bangkok (where I am now) because of the many other odd folk around doing something different with their lives.
