They think in their heads that it's the same amount when they're agreeing to it, even though it's not. It is all well and good getting paid in sterling but when another currency surges it can hurt. For instance the Kiwi went from 33p to 40p a Pound and my rent in Auckland effectively went from 70 to 81 pounds without the landlord doing anything! Currency has been my friend and foe! Maybe online advertisers do the same thing!
