Since the reviews, I have managed to sell another ad via linkworth for one of my dog sites, the comission I receive this time is $20.

I will look into Google Analytics. I have heard a lot, but never actually used any of it. Even as I write this I have absolutely no idea what Google Analytics it! I will need to research

I also am going to start trying direct link sales for my sites.

Kirsty the other sites are about 1 year old, more or less, I think I will begin work on those immediately See where that takes me.

Mel I fixed that link. It makes since you not wanting to mess with SBI. Once I get something working well and getting SE traffic I hesitate to tinker too much with anything on the page. Yes things could improve but there’s also the chance that the slightest change could knock you off the top of the SERPs so probably a wise choice if an expensive one.

Those other sites look good, how old are they? Give them some time to get old and crusty and I’m sure you’ll start to see some Google love and be on your way to $800. Good luck, keep us posted!

I have two points to bring on the table here…
- First, I have been reading a lot on the net about TLA being harmful in the long term. In doubt, I would consider trying to get direct links (no intermediate)… probably requires more time but if it’s safer might be worth. BTW I have even had time to implement this on my sites .
- Second, I don’t know 103 Bees program but I can tell you that Google Analytics does a superb job in giving you infos about traffic metrics. It’s free as well. To go further, if you want to try to optimize pages for better conversion, Google Optimizer is great also. It allows you to try different copies of some pages and gives you a chance to determine which one converts better.

The only one I won’t be taking is scrapping SBI I think it is the reason I have got the level of traffic I have. Due to the tools for search engine optimization etc. I also think that all its tools and resources have helped to no end and the forums within SBI are priceless.

But the rest of the suggestions are sound. I think you have a point in building more dog ones. I started doing 2 other dog ones, but without SBI and I have not got a level of traffic which is anywhere near that of the other 2.

I gave up on those 2, they are not making anything, but I think I’m going to start working on them again.

Like I said, I’ve got no real idea about what SBI even is let alone any legal issues but that’s a good point. Something to look into but I’m still sure she could emply someone who knows what they’re doing to rebuild the site in a similar design using new code but there’s always that risk of dropping in the search engines. But then again, the sites could rise too! Risky business.
