Glad your trip is going well, i’ve been followin the blog for awhile, im making the jump to korea for a year come august then hitting the backpacker trail for awhile myself.
Are all your earnings based of the various blogs or do you do any ppc stuff as well?

Hey Kristy- congratulations on ending up in the black! That’s AMAZING for having as much fun as you have been having. Note to self- when I get some more $$ coming in from following Kristy’s example online I’ve GOT to meet up with you for a boozing extravaganza- sounds like you had way too much fun in the Philippines and we just didn’t get any blog posts about it *sigh* I guess I’ll survive. *grin*

Good luck with the Malaysia leg. Hopefully internet will be more available there.

Accommodation in Malaysia is more expensive but I found the food to be pretty cheap. The whole of Langkawi is duty free so alcohol is a little cheaper there.

China is fairly cheap to live in. Of course this depends if you eat at local Chinese restaurants or western places. Getting an apartment works out to be cheaper than staying in a youth hostel and you can save money by doing a bit of cooking.

Oh dear Kirsty - you are describing exactly what I found when I was travelling - why would I want to work when everyone around me is playing! So I am on to a new plan - work sometimes / travel sometimes - its kinda the same as I’ve being doing for 20 years but I am trying to get some business income coming in as well as doing the 9-5 ! Malaysia will be expensive - much more so than the rest of mainland SEA - so you ma find your budget reduces as you go north- are you going overland all the way to China?
