I've read quite a few of your blogs and I was considering writing you an email until I found this post. I'm interested in starting a blog inspired by bloggers like yourself and Matt; however I don't know all of the details of having one. I am interested in the possible intrinsic value of having an online presence. Are you ever approached for jobs because of your blog? I would imagine having a popular blog, like Nerdy Nomad, may add weight to your comments on subjects like travel than a virtual nobody with no blog. Did that make sense? Are you ever hired to write articles in magazines or websites that can utilize your knowledge and experience with blogging or online travel? Would having a blog ever hurt your chances for employment? I've read a number of articles about how employers search for facebook pages and fire or not hire folks with comments or politics they disagree with. Have you heard of anything like this from other bloggers? Do you think it would be possible to obtain the same success (number of readers not monthly income) you have now if you had been more anonymous? Hello!
